On the 24th of September 2020, Valve officially updated L4D2 with The Last Stand Update.This update added content but also removed content. A lot of harmless tricks that used to be possible for years have been blatantly obliterated and will most likely never be a thing again unless you deliberately play an older version of the game.

I want to run a server or something so i can play custom maps with friends without loading into some modded server. I tried buying a server but I have no idea how to use it and the people who I bought it from are not very helpful.
1: Go to play, and select play with friends. 2: Select casual, and set the "lobby type" to private. 3: Invite friends via the friends list on the left side of the screen. 4: Setup settings, and maps. PS: You CAN use workshop maps! Just select Workshop maps ( i think it says) at the top of the map selection screen!
